routine, discipline & a lot of hard work...

The title of this post is what is keeping me going this week. The weekend still always seems to be a bummer when I am not strict on myself. But, I should expect to be dissapointed. Its all my fault.

Anyways, I decided if it means working out every single day to get rid of my hail dents-then its worth it!! Brutally honest is a characterstic I have always seemed to have. Tonight, as I was starting my workout at the gym I couldn't help, but notice a girl running infront of me. This girl was hauling-ass to say the least AND she was chubby like me. She ran like her life depended on it. I could see her treadmill and she had ran over 5 miles without any breaks in less than an hour.

Girl freaking gets it...can you tell I am totally jealous and motivated?! I try to look for motivation throughout my everyday life and this girl has set the bar for me this week.

Anyway, this week has been filled with workouts, preparation for the week and long shifts at work. Tomorrow starts Week 4 of Couch to 5K which I am definitely not ready for mentally. My legs feel like they are jello/sore to high hell! I may be repeating week 3 for a bit!

Just a little bit of my food prepartion for the 3 day work week!

Monday's workout-up top & Tuesday's-down low. I have been trying to do some arms after my treadmill date, but hey I am definitely proud of that number! Its my goal to burn at least this much every day this week.

I will show some progress hopefully this week. I do the yo-yo thing with my weight, but this week I am done with that. I started the week off at 156.6, so my goal is for it to be lower then that when I weight again on Monday. I'm over the 150's and I'm totally a chicken about posting the actual number! Silly, right?!

Eating on Track!

So... this week it has been my goal to get my eating on point. I have a super hard time when I am at work. I always have those co-workers who bring all the bad things that aren't good for people who are trying to loose weight! I would love to buy a snickers from every person who is selling them for their kids so they could go on some field trip,  but my butt doesn't need anymore hail dents! Self-Control is key!!!! That has been something I struggle with a times.

My Monday (actually Wednesday) work outfit! Super cute, right?!? It actually doesn't bother me to wear uniforms! I'm crazy, right?!

So back to the whole keeping on track eating. This week I had to work 3 days in a row. Which means, roughly 13 hour days that are hectic and busy, so eating on a schedule is typically impossible. I set my alarm throughout the day to remind me to eat.

I tried to plan out my meals every night before work. When you plan out your meals and know that this is what you need to eat, instead of running to the nearest fast food place it makes you feel good! I also used my calorie counter on my phone to plan my meals the night before. It gave me a heads up on knowing my calorie intake for the day and how much I needed to make sure I burned at the gym.

This was my planned out meals for Wednesday.
Breakfast- granola with nuts & skim milk
Snack- some of my mixture of fruit
Lunch- Healthy Choice Steamer ((I really liked this one!)) Black Bean chips with some garlic hummus
Snack- the rest of my fruit mixture
Dinner- Salad with turkey, red bell peppers, sunflower seeds and zero cal ranch dressing

Then off to the gym I go for what I thought was going to be  "Hell Week" on couch-to-5K, but it wasn't! I kicked ass on my runs and I feel amazing about it! I was super surprised!

Just a small look at the workout. I know my inner skinny girl screamed "Hell Yeah!", but my chubby-girl self was terrified! Anyone can do this program and I HIGHLY recommended it! It makes me feel so good and accomplished!

So, my chips that I ate for lunch this week...TOTALLY OBSESSED! I could eat an entire bag in one sitting, but I portion myself! You seriously have to get some! They sound bad, but just try them! You will definitely be obsessed!
YUMMMMMY!

Off to antique shopping...hopefully I can find some goodies to show y'all some of my projects I have in the works!

Till Later Y'all!

Holy Cow Batman!

Wow...I love how I start something new and completely don't make enough time in my day to post. So the past week ((or two)) have been a whirlwind. Let me tell ya! Between working, going out of town to support my other half's passion, workouts, family, and just everything in between I have completely lost touch with this pet project that I absolutely love.

The past weekend I was "Somewhere Down in Texas"- Jason Boland song! :) I crack myself up! Anyways, Texas was great! The boy in my life decided to race in this summer long competition called Dirt Riot. Its official, the females hold down the pit crew for them. And by holding down the pit crew I mean drinking wine to cover up our emotions of freaking out for our boys! Ladies, you know what I mean!

No, I'm not his back seat driver! & yes, being part of the pit crew means handing off cold beverages! These boys can't get dehydrated!

Gassed and Ready at the pre-races!

Apparently those are all the pictures from the weekend I will be able to post. For some reason this computer is refusing for me to load anymore!

As of my weight loss battle, its like a yo-yo. I am currently progressing with the Couch to 5K program. I feel like I am doing super well. Today will be the start of "Hell Week" or as the program just calls it "Week 3". I am just trying to stay positive with this week coming so fast! I officially want to throw my scale out the window! I do this whole yo-yo thing with my weight and I am fed up with it. The weekends out of town do me in horribly! So, I am researching doing a 30 Day program with a friend from work. I will definitely keep anyone who actually reads this posted on "Hell Week" and my food disasters! Counting calories is not so bad, but damn do the weekends get me!
